Ciaran majored in Screen Production at the University of Cape Town, where he made his directing and screenwriting debut with There’s Still Good, his graduation film. His passion for the craft was cemented in 2013 when he attended a Film and Arts program at the University of California Los Angeles. Subsequent to graduating from the University of Cape Town with There’s Still Good, Ciaran has worked for the Bokeh Fashion Film Festival as well as, as a screenwriter for the live studio show, Hectic Nine, televised on the South African Broadcasting Corporation.
Ciaran infuses both technical knowledge and practical impossibility into his writing and directing of There’s Still Good, aiming to create a film that is both honest and relatable in terms of character and situation, a film that communicates directly to people who don’t often see their stories onscreen.
