DICK, 7min., USA, Experimental
Directed by Kevin McLellan
DICK is a homoerotic short that mashes-up public domain sources (three 1940’s educational films starring Dick York, a 1940’s anti-gay propaganda film, music from different decades, and a quote from David Wojnarowicz) to survey representations of gayness from different lenses. A version is available with burned in subtitles.

THE LODGE, 29min., USA, Documentary
Directed by Pam Walton, Ruth Carranza
The facts about LGBTQ residents in conventional/heterosexist retirement communities are grim. 1/3 of LGBTQ people over 50 fear they will be forced back into the closet when they retire. The Lodge takes us inside Fountaingrove Lodge, the first of its kind LGBTQ retirement community, created specifically for LGBTQ seniors and their allies.
