Director Biography – Luis Navarrete
Born in Almería, Luis Navarrete arrives in Madrid to study medicine. But in 2015 he discovers the film industry, offering a way to give free rein to what was always his first vocation.
After training in directing, screenwriting and acting in schools such as Central de Cine and TAI, he writes and directs several projects: the short films “Queridísimo papá” (2018, 27 selections in international festivals and 3 awards) and “Dirigido por Lola” (2019, 13 selections in international festivals), among others.
In 2021 he releases his first feature film, “The Phantom of the Sauna”, available in streaming platforms worldwide. He is currently working on the development of his next two projects.
