Director Biography – Nicole Eckenroad
Nicole is the director of, Leave Yourself Alone (2017), a three time award winning verité film that depicts the lasting effect of a hidden sexual assault on a young actress as two men document her unsettling attempts to escape into characters. In 2015, Nicole directed an original “Twilight” franchise short film in partnership with WIF, Stephenie Meyer, Facebook and Lionsgate. She was honored by Stephenie Meyer and Kristen Stewart at the Crystal+ Lucy Awards. Nicole was the recipient of the Women in Film/Tichi-Wilkerson Endowed Scholarship and the AFI Scholarship Fund upon entering the American Film Institute Conservatory as a Director in the class of 2021. She is also a US829 Graphic Designer and Assistant Art Director for films and series such as Steven Spielberg’s “West Side Story” (2021), the film adaptation of the Pulitzer-Prize winning book, “The Goldfinch” and HBO’s “The Undoing.”
