Sven Niemeyer is a german movement director and choreographer. Besides his work for stage (Musicaltheater), Film and TV, he produces dance-short-films. His first film COLD (2017), about (postnatal) depression, won several awards cross the globe.
ULRICHS 1867 is his third work and second collaboration with DOP Markus Kopeke.

Director Statement
Besides my work for Musical theater, I like to touch social themes/issues for my very own projects and try to balance on a fine line between (what we call in Germany) E (serious Art) and U (Entertainment). It’s all about storytelling, inspired by true events.
