Lanca is a China-born filmmaker. She has worked on many international and Chinese productions. And We Collide is her first narrative short.
Director Statement
Inspired by the local rocket launch site, And We Collide is a short film centering the great divide between the local and the foreign, the modern and the obsolete, the star and the forgotten. This is a story about two men, two worlds and one real rocket.
